Are you exhausted?

We are 18 months and counting into the pandemic and as parents, we continue to balance mandates and unknowns for our children, sometimes day by day.  Keeping up with communication coming from school and other places has become a job in and of itself.

You know what...it is exhausting!

You know what else...it is ok to recognize your exhaustion.

We need to remember the importance of self-care.  As parents, we need to take time to focus on ourselves or there will be nothing left in the tank for our children.  I recently met two friends out for dinner and drinks and it was good for my soul.  For months, I had skipped these nights for no good reason.  We have to remember it is ok to do these things.

We need to remember to:

  • Make time for ourselves

  • Reconnect with things we enjoy

  • Find ways to feel joy

  • Give yourself grace.

  • Exercise

Some days will be harder than others but each day is a fresh start.
